Q: How do I get to Sandpiper Village from where I am? A: Sandpiper Retirement Village is only one block off of US Highway 17 in Mount Pleasant, SC. We are also very close to US Interstate 526, off of Anna Knapp Boulevard. After one block, you'll see Sandpiper Village on the left and Sandpiper Courtyard to your right. To enter Sandpiper Village, turn left on Village Creek Lane and you can't miss the gate on the left. Sandpiper Courtyard is even easier because our front driveway is right off of Anna Knapp Boulevard. For specific directions from where you are, we suggest using Mapquest. Here are some map images: 1 | 2 | 3 Q: Does Sandpiper Village allow residents to have pets? A: Yes! We do understand how you love your pets, so they are welcome to live with you.
Many, if not most, other retirement living centers do not allow pets these days. Q: Has the new bridge between Mount Pleasant and Charleston been completed? A: Yes! The Arthur Ravenel Bridge has been open for traffic since July 15, 2005. It was completed a full year ahead of schedule! For details, see the Cooper River Bridge web site. If you would like to see more photos of the bridge under construction and photos from its grand opening, see the Story of the Building of the Arthur Ravenel Bridge.
